Spring 2015 ISTEP+ Results for Algebra 1 and English 10 College-Career Ready Assessment (CCRA)

In follow-up to last week’s update, ISTEP+ for grades 3-8 were not the only assessments to see changes in the spring of 2015.  This week results from the ISTEP+ Algebra 1 and English 10 College-Career Ready Assessment will be released.  This test combined a graduation examination for students and also included an accountability measure for schools.  The 2015 administration of the assessment was required for students in grade 10.  If a student already took and passed the Algebra 1 ECA prior to the Spring 2015 testing window their scores were banked for accountability.

Beginning in spring of 2016, the ISTEP+ at the 10th grade level will replace the End of Course Assessments for Algebra 1 and English 10.  Students will be assessed in the areas of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.  The Indiana Department of Education has a page dedicated to this transition, although many of the documents have not yet been uploaded. Watch for more information to come!
