Indiana Graduation Pathways

As you have read in previous updates, the Indiana Graduation requirements are changing.  I am going to keep talking about this because what it takes to get a diploma is about to look very different and parents need to stay informed!  Here is a graphic put out by the Indiana Department of Education to attempt to capture the changes.  You can find more resources online through the Indiana Department of Education and through Indiana State Board of Education (scroll to the bottom of the page).  Boone Grove High School has used and will use the Indiana Graduation Pathways as a way to help students meet graduation requirements.  As we move closer to the implementation, more information will be coming!

And for a bonus this week, here is a video that the Indiana Department of Education put out about the shift in state assessments that is fast approaching this spring.

PTSC Standouts

Congratulations to Jacelyn Benkovich who received her CPR/lifesaving certification this weekend!

Have you checked out the latest awards happening at BGHS and BGMS?  Students of the week are being handed out and it is so great to see our kids celebrated for the awesome things that are happening each week!  Way to go!

Did you know Mrs. Dombrowski at BGMS has an after school coding club?  I love the ways we are supporting our students, student interest, and teaching skills that will be useful in college and careers!  Way to go, Mrs. Dombrowski!

There’s nothing like the PCC Tournament, even if we don’t land in the championship.  Great job to our fans who came out to support our teams and made our cheering blocks festive.  Great job to our basketball teams, our cheerleaders, and our dance team!

Do you have a standout to include in this section?  Email PTSC standouts to Dr. Schmidt at to make sure your standout is included.  She counts on you to send her updates all can celebrate PTSC student accomplishments!
